As the Head of Cell Formation at our location in Divitipalli, India, your primary responsibilities will include: - Supervising the cell formation and aging processes to ensure compliance with established protocols and quality benchmarks. - Collaborating with R&D teams to incorporate advancements and refinements into the formation process for optimal cell performance. - Monitoring and optimizing the formation and grading equipment to maximize uptime, efficiency, and precision. - Leading continuous improvement projects to enhance process efficiency, yield, and overall product quality. - Enforcing strict adherence to safety protocols to minimize risks in the high-voltage formation process. - Coordinating with preceding and succeeding departments to ensure a seamless production flow. - Mentoring, guiding, and leading the formation team to emphasize skill development, teamwork, and innovation. - Periodically reviewing and analyzing formation data to identify trends, anomalies, or areas for improvement. - Developing and managing budgets related to the formation phase to ensure cost-effectiveness and justify investments. - Engaging with equipment suppliers and vendors to stay updated with technological advancements and ensure timely maintenance and upgrades. Qualifications, Experience, and Certification Selection Criteria: - Education: Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree or specialized courses in battery technology are advantageous. Certifications in production management or lean manufacturing can be beneficial. - Experience: Minimum of 6-10 years in Li-ion cell manufacturing or related fields, with expertise in the cell formation process. Proven leadership skills in leading technical teams and optimizing high-tech production processes. Comprehensive knowledge of Li-ion cell formation intricacies.
