ESL Steel Limited is poising towards debottlenecking of its operations & has expansion plans in Jharkhand state. We are in the process of expanding in 2 phases, First phase is 1.5 MT to 3 MT Brown field project and Second Phase from 3 MT to 10 MT Green Field Project, to ensure Vedanta’s strong footprint in steel business.

Position Name : Head – Automation & Instrumentation, Blast Furnace

Experience : 10+ years’ Experience

Qualification : BE/ B. Tech in Electronics & Instrumentation/ Automation

Job Purpose :

To ensure the availability of healthy condition of automation and control equipment at the lowest possible cost to meet production, productivity, and quality targets.

Skills & Knowledge Required

· Knowledge of Instrumentation & PLC systems, automation related to Blast Furnance

· LV & MV Systems

· Power distribution Network.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Ensure environment, health and safety at workplace with zero harm, zero discharge and zero waste
• Ensuring safety, 5s, and inspection of compliance to Electrical.
• Focus on continuous improvement.
• Production loss in safe & effective manner, timely backup of logic & HMI.
• Planning and implementation of daily preventive maintenance, predictive and shutdown maintenance jobs of instruments for safe , efficient, reliable running of bf without any break down.
• Calibration of instruments, WH, weigh scale & maintain record.
• Ensure effective inter department & intra department co-ordination.
• Diagnose the faults in the equipments and shift end reports.
• Creating and implementing SOPs/SMPs.
