Job Description

Job Title: Head Agri Business

Location : Thrissur

Job Objective:

To develop and implement cohesive and integrated marketing and sales policies, plans and procedures on the Agri business in order to maximize the Banks market share, profitability and volume on its range of products. A. Primary responsibilities Strategic and planning

  • Develop the Agri Business strategy in line with the corporate strategy to ensure alignment with the overall vision of the Bank.
  • Develop and oversee the implementation of Agri Business policies, procedures and controls covering all areas of the division so that all relevant procedural/regulatory requirements are met.
  • Oversee the consolidation and recommend the Agri Business division budget.
  • Monitor financial performance versus the budget to anticipate costs/revenues and identify areas of unsatisfactory performance to capitalize on performance improvement opportunities and thereby reduce cost.
  • Formulate and manage implementation of the medium to long term strategy of the Agri business in alignment with the overall strategic objectives and direction of the Bank

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate the needs of the retail segment in order to capitalize on market opportunities and adjust marketing strategies to reflect changing conditions.
  • Develop, recommend and implement the approved marketing strategies and plans consistent with established goals in each product.
  • Constantly review the plans and policies to improve the Bank’s competitive position in the market.
  • Develop annual operational sales plans in discussion with Agri Cluster Heads/ Agri Area Managers based on the overall targets and budgets and priorities the overall efforts by service and allocation of resources.
  • Continually monitor the market to determine the market size and market penetration of the Bank’s Agri Business products and ensure that the priority sector lending targets of the Bank are achieved.
  • Evaluate the timely adjustment of marketing strategy and plans to meet changing markets and competitive conditions.
  • Direct the development and configuration of new products in line with business plans of the Bank.
  • Develop and implement advertising and sales promotion plans in discussion with Corporate Communication department
  • Decide strategies to reach potential customers based on the evaluation of the effect of the advertising and sales promotion campaigns.
  • Direct and monitor all collection activities within the 90-day cycle to ensure NPAs are at the minimum.
  • Oversee the overall expansion of the Agri business to ensure the achievement of revenue and profitability target ensuring reduction of NPAs for each segment of the business.
  • Ensure the provision of efficient and cost-effective product operations with a view to provide high levels of service, while minimizing the risk and cost.
  • Co-ordinate the Bank’s participation in trade shows and community events to promote products and services
