Hardware Service Engineer (computer shop perumavoor)

Job Description

Responsibilities: Provide on-site and remote technical support to clients, addressing hardware, software, and network-related issues. Diagnose and troubleshoot computer system malfunctions, software errors, and network connectivity problems. Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), and software applications. Perform system upgrades, repairs, and data recovery as needed. Set up and configure network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls. Provide technical assistance and training to clients on computer usage and software applications. Document all service requests, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions accurately and in a timely manner. Maintain a comprehensive inventory of hardware, software, and tools. Stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends and advancements in computer hardware, software, and networking. Collaborate with other technical team members to resolve complex issues. Ensure adherence to service level agreements (SLAs) and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction. Travel to client locations as required to provide on-site support. Qualifications and Skills: Proven experience as a Computer Service Engineer, IT Support Technician, or a similar role. Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), and networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP). Hands-on experience in troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues. Familiarity with network devices (routers, switches, firewalls) configuration and troubleshooting. Experience with data backup and recovery procedures. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills. Ability to explain technical concepts clearly and concisely to non-technical users. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on client satisfaction. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong organizational and time management skills. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to client sites.
