Job Description

Role Overview: As a Hardware Lead for automotive electronics hardware, you will be responsible for the technical delivery of various components such as Instrument clusters, Infotainment systems, Telematics, Information displays, ADAS Hardware, and Cockpit electronics controllers for global vehicle OEMs. Your role will require a strong background in the automotive domain to ensure successful product delivery. Key Responsibilities: - Manage the execution of hardware development activities to ensure timely delivery with the required quality. - Ensure project teams adhere to defined processes, methods, and tools across different OEMs. - Allocate project resources (staffing & tools) and maintain budget to meet deliverables and deadlines. - Collaborate closely with the engineering team to resolve inter-competency issues and ensure compliance with requirements and quality standards. - Drive continuous cross-functional skill upgrades among hardware engineers and identify areas for improvement. - Review program timing, cost, and quality attributes to take necessary actions for successful hardware delivery. - Act as the first-line escalation path for hardware project risks/issues related to timing, cost, and quality. - Manage escalated risks and issues that impact hardware development project timelines, costs, and quality. - Ensure necessary stakeholder involvement for successful hardware project delivery. - Lead the deployment of preventive actions to improve hardware quality across programs. - Support the Hardware Architect in implementing hardware architecture road maps in products. - Review hardware quote responses with the PD Quote Leader. - Collaborate with teams in different regions to achieve consensus and ensure productive outcomes. Qualifications Required: - Deep knowledge of embedded electronics product architectures and systems. - Understanding of requirements and their impact on product cost and quality. - Familiarity with EMC requirements and building reliable products, with an advantage in the automotive domain. - Appreciation for DFM, DFT, DFMEA, and Built-in-quality. - Ability to guide the team for successful product development with optimized resource utilization. - Proficiency in Advanced Engineering, Technology Development, Change Management, and Strategic Planning. - Strong business acumen, decision-making skills, influencing abilities, and good listening skills. - Effective cross-cultural communication and presentation skills. - Leadership skills including engaging with teams, motivating them, managing complexity, and taking full responsibility for decisions and results. Experience: You should have 12+ years of experience in embedded product development and team management, with automotive engineering experience being an advantage.,
