Vellex Computing is a venture-backed startup developing next-generation hardware to accelerate artificial intelligence and high-performance computing. Spun off from Stanford University and backed by the U.S. Department of Energy and National Science Foundation, we are building a new class of processor designed to overcome the power and latency bottlenecks of traditional digital chips. The Role

We are seeking a Hardware Engineer (Level I/II) to join our design team. Whether you are a fresh graduate or have a few years of experience, you will develop analog and mixed-signal blocks from concept to tape-out. You will work closely with our engineering team to design, simulate, and verify the core circuits that power our hardware accelerator. This is a high-growth role where you will learn rigorous design methodologies and contribute to groundbreaking technology.

Your responsibilities will include:

Designing and implementing high-performance analog and mixed-signal circuits
Running extensive simulations (transient, AC, noise, Monte Carlo) to verify performance across PVT
Collaborating on physical layout to manage parasitics and matching
Supporting post-silicon validation to test and characterize designs in the lab

Requirements

Education: MS in Electrical Engineering or a related field
Experience: 0-3 years of hands-on experience in analog or mixed-signal IC design (University projects and internships count)
Technical Skills: Familiarity with designing core analog blocks (op-amps, bandgaps, etc.) and CMOS device physics
Tool Proficiency: Experience with Synopsys EDA tools for schematic capture and simulation (e.g., Custom Compiler, HSPICE, PrimeSim)
