Position Name: : Group Leader (Mechanical expert) Department: Assembly Maintenance Qualification : Bachelor of Engineering or Diplima Mechanical Experience : Min 5 Years Location : Pune (Chakan) Purpose of the Position: Collaborate with breakdown management team with area expertise skills for chassis & aggregate line. Develop contingency plan and team for special purpose machine like Wetron controller, Filling machine, Assist Conveyors, Wevin Lifters, ATS elevators, Chassis marriage system, Durr Gearbox filling machine, IBN ECU Flashing Systems by Sickert and Haffner and MWT. Drive condition based monitoring for area equipment. Spare part management & hot standby assembly development for area equipment. Parameter controls to ensure equipment parameters meet the standard PDM requirement. Conduct calibration and verification for area equipment as per defined frequency. Analyse chronic issues involving cross functional teams and plan permanent action plan. Support production on Chassis line for their chronic issues by quick kaizens and improvements. Maintain history sheet for area equipment and relevant documentation for area equipment. Ensure backup readiness for all rivet guns used on Chassis line. Execution of tasks designated by shift leaders and escalation any risk involved in Chassis & PA aggregate area. Communication with production team with timely response and actions as required Authority : Stop production in case of major safety and quality issue. Modification or optimization of the non-critical machine parameters. Team member leave approval & Team member shift scheduling. Team member selection & Work allocation to team members. To define action plan for non-critical breakdown. Define the PM Standards for ownership Equipment based on Failures, Abnormalities, and Improvements. Supporting KVP for Improvements on Line side and equipment modification from Maintenance Side. Making Hot Stand By for Electronics and Mechanical Assemblies. Skills Required: Expert in conveyors and Robots, Elector-Hydraulics, Electro-Pneumatics, Various Mechanical drives & Bearings, Basic Electrical & PLC knowledge Work prioritization, Manpower handling, Process product and equipment knowledge TPM, 5s, ISO, QMS, EMS, EnMS, Process audit, KVP Leadership, Decision making, Team work, Innovative thinking, Problem solving, Business Acumen. Key Responsibilities & Tasks: Maintenance: Detailed know how about special technology on Chassis line Wetron with Codesys - CAN bus & Cubus communication system for EMS hangers ProfNet communication Automation systems (Siemens, SEW Drives, Sick sensors, P&F RFID) Electro Mono rail system (Conveyor + Hanger) Detailed knowledge on fluid systems Filling systems (AC, Brake, Coolant, wash water, fuel, gear box oil) Air compressor and dryer Brake filling testing (Brake pedal pusher, Brake pedal tester, handbrake) Elevator and Pallet lifter system Assist conveyor, OP Conveyor, PA Conveyor, Pallet Storage conveyor, Engine Dressing Line Conveyor Vision system (Cognex make) Mechanical fixture alignment & setting. Safety: Implement and ensure that all legal and VW standards safety are strictly followed by Maintenance team member. Scheduled check for all identified Electrical & Mechanical safety checkpoints in equipments (Emergency/Light curtains/Scanners, Hook latches) Gather abnormal, unsafe condition, unsafe acts & correct the same in the given shift & escalate to Shift leader. Escalate and inform safety concerns to management as well as team members. Train & coach for Team Member for Safety Standards. Implement Sunday Safety Tool Box Implementation and Guidance to Team Member. Quality: Ensure that zero product defects are generated due to equipment failure. Attending shop floor meetings for quality/productivity issues(Island meeting in respective shifts) Implement actions suggested by quality analysis, technical experts to improve quality. Monitor critical equipment parameters, generate necessary reports & inform to Shift leader Qualification: Keep updated with Maintenance Training requirement and communicate to the shift leader. Give On job training to team members. Gather Training requirements of Team Members. QMS; ISO 14001 (Environment MS); VDA 6.3; ISO 50001 (Energy MS): 1. Update & Maintain all auditable documents required to achieve QMS / Process audit Score and implement action plan for non-conformities. 2. Implementation & documentation of Objectives of Energy and Environment Management System ISO 50001 & 14001. Documentation (Check sheets, verification sheets.) : Updated PM records, Updated RCA, CAPA, WI, and Standard Repair Procedure. Updated Logbook, Updated Spare part status. Overtime Records of Team Members. Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and 5S: Performs a daily check of the TPM and 5S activities of his subordinated teams; Clear Red Tag on Daily basis and Send Records to TPM Co-coordinator. Organization: Develop Team Member Teams. Develop Team work with Production and Quality Department. Develop Knowledge of Internal and External maintenance resources like Expertise training and spare parts. Skill evaluation of TMs, Job Rotation, allocation of workplaces, hiring/dismissal, transfer Appointment and development of employees. Start of measures for hiring of new employees. Evaluate and document training effectiveness of Team Members. Leave management: Approve leaves of team members according to their respective balance as per Leave Management System (electronically). Solve conflicts; communicate misuse to HR.
