Group H&S Manager

THE ROLE

Key Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of Moda’s group-wide H&S strategy, policies, and procedures in line with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regular H&S audits and inspections across all operational properties and ensure that corrective actions are implemented.
• Provide competent advice and guidance to property management teams on all matters relating to H&S compliance, resident safety, and risk management.
• Maintain and review safety documentation, including risk assessments, method statements, COSHH assessments, and fire risk assessments.
• Assist with the investigation and reporting of incidents, accidents, and near-misses, ensuring lessons are captured and shared across the business.
• Monitor contractor safety performance and ensure adherence to Moda’s Permit to Work and Contractor Management procedures.
• Deliver or coordinate safety-related training and toolbox talks to ensure teams are competent and confident in safety responsibilities.
• Support mobilisation of new buildings to ensure H&S procedures are embedded from Day 1.
• Stay up to date with evolving H&S legislation, industry best practices, and emerging risks within the residential and property management sectors.
  

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

• NEBOSH General Certificate (minimum); Diploma or equivalent (desirable).
• Membership of IOSH (TechIOSH or higher).
• Experience working in property management, facilities, residential or mixed-use buildings.
• Strong working knowledge of UK H&S legislation, including fire safety, building safety, and CDM regulations.
• Confident communicator, able to influence and advise at all levels.
• Willingness to travel across sites as needed.
