Job Description

Executive Grants funding We are looking for a Grants funding Executive, who will be responsible for identifying, researching, and securing grant funds that align with the organisations business objectives. The role involves identifying relevant funding sources, developing compelling grant proposals, cultivating relationships with donors and reporting on the impact of the funded projects. Key Responsibilities: Grant Prospecting & Research: Identify potential donors, grantmakers and funding agencies aligned with the organization's business verticals and strategic goals. Conduct thorough research on grant guidelines, eligibility criteria, funding priorities, and deadlines. Maintain a grant opportunity tracking system to ensure timely submission of applications. Identify emerging funding trends and recommend new grant opportunities. 2. Grant Proposal Development & Submission: Draft persuasive and well-structured grant proposals, including narratives outlining program impact, budget plans, and evaluation frameworks. Customize each grant proposal to meet the specific requirements and priorities of the funding organization. Ensure that all proposals are well-organized, concise, and submitted within deadlines. Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary data, financials, and supporting documents for applications. 3. Relationship Management & Compliance: Build and maintain strong relationships with Grantmakers, donors, and funding agencies through regular engagement, meetings, and networking. Provide periodic updates to funders on program progress, outcomes, and impact. Prepare timely and accurate grant reports detailing program activities, results, and financial expenditures. Monitor grant agreements to ensure compliance with funder requirements and organizational policies. Address funder queries, provide necessary clarifications, and facilitate external audits as required. 4. Data Management & Analysis: Maintain detailed and up-to-date records of grant applications, proposals, awards, and reports in the donor database. Track and analyse grant performance metrics to refine future grant-seeking strategies. Prepare periodic reports on funding progress, success rates, and areas for improvement. 5. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with business vertical teams to ensure alignment of grant objectives with organizational needs. Assist in developing project budgets and financial reports for grant applications. Support in preparing presentations and reports for internal and external stakeholders. Required Skills & Qualifications: Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Public policy, Development or Environmental studies, Social Sciences, Business Administration, or related fields. Experience: 1-2 years of experience in grant proposal creation, fundraising for not-for-profits or project funding preferably in the waste management or sustainability domain. Understanding of social impact programs, budgeting, and program evaluation frameworks. Strong research skills to identify and evaluate grant opportunities. Strong writing and communication skills to develop compelling proposals and reports. Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and funder requirements. Proficiency in using donor databases, CRM systems, and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Experience: Prefer prior experience in the waste management, sustainability, or environmental sector. Familiarity with corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives or fundraising from international donors Role & responsibilities
