Role & responsibilities A Graduate Trainee Engineer (Purchase) assists in procuring materials and managing vendors, learning essential procurement processes and developing skills in supplier management. This role involves tasks like identifying suppliers, preparing purchase orders, tracking deliveries, and supporting cost analysis. K ey Responsibilities: Procurement Support: Assist in identifying and evaluating new suppliers for raw materials, consumables, and machinery. Vendor Management: Maintain and update vendor databases, ensuring accurate information and timely communication. Purchase Order Management: Assist in preparing and issuing purchase orders based on material requirements, tracking their status, and resolving any issues. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of purchase transactions, price comparisons, and supplier contracts. Collaboration: Work with other departments, including production and engineering, to meet material requirements. Skills and Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mach) Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse data and identify cost-saving opportunities. Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills for interacting with suppliers and internal teams. Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve issues related to procurement processes. Technical Skills: Familiarity with basic purchasing software and systems.
