Job Description

Job Summary: The Godown Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day warehouse/godown activities including receiving, storing, dispatching, inventory management, and ensuring overall operational efficiency and safety. The role also involves managing a team of labourers and coordinating with logistics and sales teams. Key Responsibilities: AreaDescription Inventory Management Maintain accurate stock levels through regular physical verification and system entry. Ensure FIFO/FEFO practices are followed. Goods Inward/Outward Monitor and record all incoming and outgoing shipments. Ensure timely unloading, checking, and storage of goods. Labour Management Supervise and allocate work to labourers. Maintain attendance and ensure productivity. Coordination Coordinate with logistics, dispatch teams, sales team, and transporters for timely dispatches and receipts. Safety & Cleanliness Ensure the godown is clean, organized, and complies with safety protocols. Reporting Maintain daily reports on stock movement, damages, shortages, and manpower. Share reports with higher management. Damage & Returns Handle damaged goods, returns, and reconciliation efficiently. Documentation Ensure proper documentation of all stock movement, gate passes, and receipts. Compliance Adhere to internal SOPs related to handling, loading/unloading, and storage. Key Skills & Qualifications: Minimum 2–4 years of warehouse/godown experience Basic computer skills (Excel, inventory software preferred) Ability to lead a team and manage time effectively Strong attention to detail and physical fitness Ability to work in shifts and handle pressure Job Types: Full-time, Fresher Pay: Up to ₹20,000.00 per month Schedule: Day shift Night shift Weekend availability Supplemental Pay: Performance bonus Work Location: In person
