Position Overview: The GM - Operations will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the entire manufacturing and operational functions of the company. This role demands a dynamic leader with a strong background in filtration and pressure vessel manufacturing, ensuring on-time dispatches to avoid LD and meet committed delivery dates (CDD). The GM-Operations will lead production, quality assurance, dispatches, stores, planning, and overall coordination to enhance efficiency and profitability. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage end-to-end operations, ensuring smooth production and timely dispatches while maintaining high-quality standards. Develop and implement strategies to optimize production schedules, capacity utilization, and resource allocation. Ensure strict adherence to committed delivery dates (CDD) to prevent liquidated damages (LD) and enhance customer satisfaction. Oversee supply chain management, including procurement, inventory control, and logistics, to streamline production and dispatch processes. Implement best practices for quality control, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Drive continuous process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce production costs. Collaborate with engineering, sales, and customer service teams to align operations with business objectives. Foster a culture of safety, compliance, and excellence in manufacturing operations. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and take proactive measures to achieve operational goals. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelors/Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. 15+ years of experience in operations management, with a strong background in filtration and pressure vessel manufacturing. Proven track record of managing production, quality assurance, planning, projects co-ordination, customer communication and logistics in a manufacturing setup. Expertise in handling industrial filters and strainers production for diverse industries. Strong understanding of supply chain, inventory management, and dispatch processes. Experience in handling large-scale manufacturing operations with a focus on timely deliveries and cost optimization. Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities. Preferred Skills: Experience working in a high-volume, custom manufacturing environment. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies. Familiarity with ERP systems for production planning and inventory management.
