Job Description

As a GIS Service Engineer at Siemens Energy in Aurangabad, your role will involve installing, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting High Voltage GIS systems and associated components. You will be part of the Technical Service team, ensuring the smooth operation of equipment and providing technical support to customers. Your responsibilities will include: - Installation & Commissioning: Understanding specifications, completing installation & commissioning activities according to contractual requirements & schedules, and having in-depth knowledge of GIS installation, commissioning, and testing including HV PD. - On Site Service: Managing site activities, coordinating with stakeholders, ensuring availability of necessary material, equipment & manpower, and adhering to time schedules. - Coordinating and interfacing with tools, service team, and taking care of high voltage tools, test equipment, and tools for installation, testing, and troubleshooting. - Safety: Commitment to safety procedures, especially related to high voltage and SF6 gas handling, ensuring accident prevention measures are observed, and implementing EHS guidelines. - Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Completing GIS Bay assembly work, troubleshooting defects, analyzing test data, performing root cause analysis, and providing technical expertise on equipment failures. - Reporting & Documentation: Preparing detailed test reports, sharing site reports, activity plans, resource requirements, and method of statement as needed. Qualifications required for this role include: - Bachelor's degree or Diploma in electrical or mechanical Engineering. - 5-10 years of experience in high voltage products. - Experience with electrical equipment, switchgears, High Voltage switchgear assembly, and monitoring equipment. - Proficiency in both spoken & written English language.
