Job Description

GIS Developer Key Skills: Expertise in GIS technologies ( GeoServer , ArcGIS, QGIS, MapServer) and spatial data formats (GeoJSON, KML, shapefiles). Strong backend development using Node.js/NestJS. Experience with spatial databases (PostGIS, MongoDB with GeoJSON support). Proficiency in SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB. Knowledge of markup languages (XML, JSON, YAML). Familiarity with geospatial libraries (GDAL, GeoPandas, Turf.js). Hands-on experience with version control (Git) and agile methodologies. Requirements: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geospatial Sciences, Geography, Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years in software development, with at least 2-3 years fully dedicated to GIS development. Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and geospatial data processing. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and DevOps practices. Solid grasp of CI/CD pipelines, automation, logging, and monitoring. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams. Bonus Points: Experience with Kubernetes/OpenShift, messaging frameworks (ActiveMQ/Kafka), and reactive programming. Open-source contributions or active participation in GIS communities. Certifications in GIS, cloud, or agile methodologies.
