Job Summary: As a Process Engineer - GET in a precision rubber metal molded products factory, you will be responsible for learning, analyzing, and improving manufacturing processes involving rubber and metal molding. You will focus on achieving high precision, quality, and efficiency in production operations, while maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities: 1. Process Development and Optimization: o Study and improve rubber-metal molding processes to enhance precision, reduce defects, and optimize cycle times. o Identify and implement solutions for process variability and waste reduction. o Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure manufacturability. 2. Mold and Tooling Management: o Assist in maintaining and troubleshooting molds, dies, and tools used in the production process. o Monitor wear and recommend refurbishments or replacements as needed. 3. Material and Process Analysis: o Understand and analyze the properties of rubber compounds and bonding materials to ensure compatibility and adherence. o Develop and optimize vulcanization processes to achieve desired product characteristics. 4. Production Support: o Monitor machine performance, conduct root-cause analysis for issues, and implement corrective actions. o Assist in machine setup, calibration, and validation for new or modified products. 5. Quality Assurance: o Ensure compliance with quality standards such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or customer-specific requirements. o Work closely with the quality team to reduce rejections and improve yield rates. 6. Safety and Compliance: o Maintain adherence to workplace safety and environmental regulations. o Participate in safety audits and implement process changes for hazard mitigation. 7. Data Collection and Reporting: o Collect production data, analyze trends, and present findings to identify improvement areas. o Assist in creating standard operating procedures (SOPs) for processes. 8. Learning and Training: o Participate in training programs on rubber and metal molding techniques. o Gain exposure to advanced molding technologies and lean manufacturing practices. ________________________________________ Qualifications: Education: Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Polymer, or Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Experience: Fresh graduates or candidates with internships or projects in rubber/metal molding industries. Skills: o Basic knowledge of rubber and metal bonding processes. o Familiarity with molding machines (compression, injection, or transfer molding). o Proficiency in tools like MS Office, AutoCAD, and process simulation software. o Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. ________________________________________ Key Competencies: Attention to detail with a focus on precision manufacturing.
