General Manager - Wet Utilities

Job Description

He or She to oversee and lead all wet utilities-related activities of the projects. This individual will be responsible for strategic planning, project delivery, and ensuring operational excellence in all aspects of wet utilities, including water, wastewater, and stormwater management systems. Job Description and Job Role: Lead and manage the engineering team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure high performance and professional development Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards, regulatory compliance, and environmental guidelines Oversee and manage the design, planning, and execution of wet utilities projects, ensuring that all engineering, procurement, and construction phases are completed successfully Work closely with construction managers, project managers, engineers, planners, and other departments to coordinate project timelines, resources, and deliverables Provide expert guidance to design /procurement/ construction teams on the technical aspects of wet utilities, including water distribution systems, wastewater treatment plants, stormwater management, and other relevant infrastructure Lead negotiations, contract management, and the resolution of any client concerns related to wet utilities projects Develop and manage budgets for the projects, ensuring effective cost control and resource allocation Oversee the quality assurance and control process for all wet utilities works to ensure high-quality outcomes Drive continuous improvement and innovation in wet utilities, including the adoption of new technologies, sustainable practices, and methodologies to reduce environmental impact and improve operational efficiency Knowledge of international codes & standards such as IS Codes, CPHEEO, National Building codes, IRC, ASTM, AASTHO, etc., knowledge of European Standards, French Standards (NF), British Standards (BS) etc. is preferred Skills and Qualifications: Bachelors degree in civil engineering, Masters in Environmental Engineering or Masters in Public Health Engineering will be preferred 15+ years experience in similar field and experience in civil engineering consultancy Experience in integrated infrastructure development projects such as, city level infrastructure projects, Smart cities, Industrial SEZs, Residential townships, etc., Mandatory software skills in AutoCAD, Water Gems, Global Mapper, Sewer Gems, Storm Cad, 3D Civil, Autodesk Navis Works, HecRAS Able to communicate at all levels and work independently.
