SAUNI L2P3 O&M PROJECT, Botad, Gujarat, India Department OPERATIONS Job posted on May 16, 2025 Employment type REGULAR JOB DESCRIPTION SECTION I: BASIC INFORMATION ON THE ROLE Position Name General Manager – O & M Function Operation & Maintenance Line of Business Region Grade C 2 Reporting to Functionally Administratively Vice President – O&M Vice President – O&M Roles Reporting into No. of employees Role Description Sr. Manager – Plant Operations 1 Responsible for managing all operations and maintenance activities of the plant SECTION II: JOB SUMMARY Responsible for directing the operation and maintenance management for all projects in the region including corrective, preventative, and predictive maintenance. The role holder looks after operations, maintenance, engineering, training and administration for the function. SECTION III : DO – KEY ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE Perspective Responsibility Strategic Ensures planning for operations and maintenance activities for the region with emphasis on cost and quality Develops, plans and implements goals and objectives for the operations and maintenance department Financial Prepares and monitors the annual budget for all O&M activities Ensures adequate funding and minimizes the cost of operations and implementation of projects Ensures generation of average annual operating earnings growth Customer Ensures the effective delivery of objectives laid down in the contracts Maintains customer relationships and ensures timely communication to enhance customer satisfaction Internal Process/Internal Process/Operations Ensures effective implementation and control of operation and maintenance activities Ensures suitable manpower planning as per approved organization chart Ensures that the maintenance works are carried in an efficient and safe manner for economical and reliable plant operations as per the quality, safety and industry standards Ensures compliance to statutory and labor laws as per the Industrial Act Approves all expenditures for tools, equipment, supplies, materials and additional plant O&M requirements Ensures effective usage of various methodologies for optimum performance and reliability of plant equipments and systems Ensures proper review, control, implementation, and documentation of required equipment design changes in a timely manner Assumes responsibility for timely assessment of risks in the plant location & plans for mitigation Monitors activities to optimizes equipment reliability and efficiency Ensures availability of procedures and documents to support and direct the engineers Ensures timely generation of reports to be shared with the management/ client Assumes overall responsibility for managing the labor force and handles IR and HR issues Learning & Development Ensures that plant personnel have a basic understanding of their responsibilities and safe work practices and have the knowledge and practical abilities necessary to operate the plant safely and reliably Studies and recommends procedures and practices to improve processes SECTION IV: DELIVER – KEY OUTPUTS / RESULTS FROM THE ROLE Key Performance Indicators (KPI) What are the measurable indicators for the role?
