Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead end-to-end operations for our dairy business in Uttar Pradesh. The ideal candidate must have deep expertise across the entire dairy value chain—from milk procurement and supply-chain management to production, quality control, distribution, and B2B marketing. The General Manager will be responsible for driving operational efficiency, expanding procurement networks, ensuring high-quality production standards, and leading market growth in institutional and industrial segments.

Key Responsibilities1. Milk Procurement & Supply Chain

• Develop, strengthen, and manage milk procurement networks including farmers, cooperatives, and collection centers.
• Ensure consistent daily milk collection volumes with optimal quality (SNF/FAT standards).
• Oversee chilling centers, logistics planning, route optimization, and procurement cost control.
• Implement farmer relationship programs, extension activities, and field team training.

2. Production & Plant Operations

• Supervise end-to-end plant operations including pasteurization, homogenization, processing, packaging, and dispatch.
• Ensure strict compliance with FSSAI standards, hygiene protocols, and QA/QC parameters.
• Optimize production planning, equipment utilization, preventive maintenance, and cost management.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives: automation, process efficiency, and waste reduction.

3. B2B Sales & Marketing

• Drive growth in institutional, HoReCa, and industrial segments (e.g., bulk milk, SMP, butter, ghee, paneer).
• Build and manage long-term relationships with B2B clients such as food processors, confectionery companies, restaurants, hotels, and distributors.
• Develop pricing strategies, contracts, and volume-based agreements.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, demand forecasts, and new product opportunities.

4. Business Strategy & Leadership

• Create and execute annual business plans, budgeting, cost control, and P&L management.
• Lead cross-functional teams across procurement, production, sales, quality, logistics, and finance.
• Implement strong MIS reporting, performance tracking, and operational KPIs.
• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, audits, certifications, and safety norms.

5. Team Development & Stakeholder Management

• Recruit, train, and mentor team members across departments.
• Coordinate with government bodies, industry partners, and external stakeholders.
• Drive a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 15 years of experience in the dairy industry with exposure to procurement, production, and marketing.
• Proven track record in B2B dairy product marketing and institutional sales.
• Strong leadership abilities with experience in managing mid to large-scale dairy plants.
• Excellent understanding of dairy operations, supply chain management, quality control, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to travel frequently across procurement zones and market regions.

• Experience in Uttar Pradesh dairy market or North India operations.
• Exposure to value-added dairy products.

• Familiarity with ERP/MIS systems and modern dairy technologies.
