JOB DESCRIPTION Position title: GM Sales - Reva (Waste Water Industry Only) Department: Sales and Marketing Sub Department: Sales Location : Pan India Organizational relationships Reports to: Director Supervises: Sales and proposal team Functional relationship with: All key verticals/ departments Academic qualification Essential: Engineering (Mechanical/ Water/ Clean technology/ Chemical) Desired: MBA in Sales and Marketing/International Marketing/Strategy Experience Relevant: 7 - 10 yrs at senior management level Total: 15 - 20 yrs of total experience in Sales and Marketing within Water Treatment as a sector. Strategic Planning To be abreast with the business environment by deploying suitable market research tools. To generate statistical analysis of sales reflecting market trends, market share metrics, competitor’s strategy etc. along with necessary recommendations. To provide inputs to leadership for formulating strategies pertaining to pricing, sales promotion, marketing, advertising, brand planning keeping in mind the entire market dynamics to augment brand visibility and credibility. To ensure development and implementation of marketing and sales strategies to ensure growth as agreed. To design team goals and ensure the attainment of the same. 2. Sales & Marketing To arrive at an annual sales plan in tandem with the leadership. Socialize the target within the sales team. To plan the product/service mix and market mix in tandem with leadership To be responsible from conceptualization to finalization of new/tailor-made product/service. To be responsible for increasing market share of the product/service. To leverage upon the existing relationships for business development & revenue growth by providing custom made solutions for the client. To identify and empanel financially strong and reliable channel partners, resulting in deeper market penetration. To monitor & evaluate channel partner performance on periodic basis. Ensure timely communication of gaps, if any. To ensure smooth execution of sales strategy. Actively monitor conversion effort. If required, seek assistance from technical Specialist for closure. Intervene, if required, in the negotiation process. To engage with large customers such as government bodies or large corporates. To oversee the entire bidding & negotiation process & hand-hold the client towards closure. To execute brand building initiatives in line with the natural brand development plans, with consumer lead revenue generation activities aimed at attracting new customers and building new relationships. To ensure common understanding of Service Level Agreement & S.O.P with the client. Effectively managing client operations and ensuring maximum client satisfaction by providing timely support through the sales/ service team. To incorporate the recommendations of the client satisfaction survey while renewing the department’s policies & procedures. Actively create, guide, analyze and share the MIS to understand trends and let the same be reflected in action plans for maximizing desirable outcomes. 3. Operations To plan and oversee budget of the department. To formulate Standard operation procedures and implement the same To reduce operational cost, ensure optimum utilization of resources and continuously undertake process improvement measures. 4. Human Resource Management Creating manpower plan in tandem with HR at beginning of the year. Provide process support (screening, interviewing, closure approval) To ensure capability development of the down-line and mentoring the team-members by engaging the team in formal and informal forums. To create annual training plan (technical/ non technical) with HR. Provide facilitators for technical training. Be available as facilitator for technical training and induction. Commit to releasing people in a timely manner for developmental activities. To partner with HR for ensuring timely execution of Performance management, rewards and recognition and employee engagement activities. Act as an HR partner and be responsible for driving policies and procedures. Partner with HR on disciplinary action matters. Develop a strong team spirit amongst the team members . 5. Administration To approve leaves of the immediate down-line. To approve travel plans & expenses of the immediate down-line.
