Our operations encompass the production of solar cells, wafers, glass, backsheets, encapsulants, junction boxes, frames, connectors, and the final assembly of PV modules. We are experiencing rapid growth and seek a dynamic and experienced General Manager. About the Role: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager - Plant Operations to oversee the day-to-day operations of our solar photovoltaic (PV) unit. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a proven track record in managing large-scale manufacturing operations. You will be responsible for driving operational excellence, ensuring safety, and maximizing plant efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Operational Leadership: Oversee all aspects of plant operations, including production, quality control, maintenance, and safety. Develop and implement operational strategies to achieve production targets and optimize resource utilization. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and take corrective action to improve performance. Team Management: Lead and motivate a team of skilled professionals to deliver exceptional results. Recruit, hire, and develop talent to build a high-performing team. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment. Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to stringent quality standards and regulatory compliance. Implement robust quality control procedures to minimize defects and maximize product quality. Continuously improve product quality and reduce costs. Maintenance and Reliability: Develop and execute a comprehensive preventive maintenance program to minimize downtime and optimize equipment reliability. Manage the maintenance budget and ensure efficient utilization of resources. Safety and Environmental Compliance: Prioritize safety and environmental sustainability. Implement rigorous safety protocols and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations. Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility. Cost Management: Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives to improve profitability. Monitor and control operational expenses to optimize resource utilization. Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development and execution of the company's strategic plan. Identify opportunities for growth and expansion. Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements. Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Electronics) or a related field. Minimum of 10 years of experience in a plant operations role, preferably in the solar PV industry. Proven track record in managing large-scale manufacturing operations. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Proficiency in lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies. Knowledge of relevant safety and environmental regulations. Strong financial acumen and cost management skills.
