Job Title GCP Data Engineer Location: India (On-Site) Role Responsibilities Design and implement data storage solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Develop and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes for large-scale data integration and processing. Optimize and manage Google BigQuery for data analysis and reporting. Ensure data quality and integrity throughout the data lifecycle. Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data needs and provide suitable solutions. Build data models that support business intelligence and analytical requirements. Document processes, datasets, and architectures for reference and compliance. Perform performance tuning and optimization of existing data applications. Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines and GCP resources for reliability. Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement data solutions. Implement security practices for data management in GCP. Participate in code reviews to ensure best practices and high-quality code. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and GCP features, applying them to improve data processes. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior data engineers. Assist in project planning and efforts estimation for new data initiatives. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role. Strong understanding of GCP services and cloud architecture. Expertise in data warehousing concepts and methodologies. Proficiency in SQL for data manipulation and analysis. Experience with ETL tools and processes. Familiarity with data modeling techniques. Solid programming skills in Python or similar languages. Knowledge of data visualization tools is a plus. Experience with Google BigQuery and related data services. Ability to work with large datasets and ensure data integrity. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective communication skills for collaboration with teams. Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality results. Adaptability to changing technologies and business needs. Experience working in an Agile environment is preferred.
