Job Title: GCP Data Architect

Location: Bangalore/Hyderabad/Pune/Chennai/Gurgaon

Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Data Architect to lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performance data solutions. You will play a critical role in shaping our cloud data strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals, and driving innovation through modern data architecture practices.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement end-to-end data architecture on GCP, including data ingestion, storage, processing, and analytics.
Define and enforce data governance, security, and compliance standards.
Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Optimize data pipelines and workflows using GCP services like BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Composer.
Lead data modeling, metadata management, and data cataloging initiatives.
Evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies within the GCP ecosystem.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
10 + years of experience in data architecture, with at least 3 years on GCP.
Deep expertise in GCP services: BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Dataproc, Cloud Composer, Looker, etc.
Strong knowledge of data modeling, ETL/ELT design, and distributed systems.
Proficiency in SQL, Python, and data pipeline orchestration tools.
Experience with data security, IAM, and compliance frameworks (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).
GCP Professional Data Engineer or Cloud Architect certification is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with hybrid or multi-cloud environments.
Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
Exposure to machine learning and AI-driven data solutions.
