Grade- B2 About The Role : : Full Stack Software Engineer We are looking for a "Full Stack Software Engineer" contractor to join Customer Service & Operation team at MetLife Japan. Our team focuses on the design, development, and deployment of web apps, and API. The candidate will participate in each stage of development to ensure a successful delivery, including driving the solution design, implement, testing, and supporting the deployment into production, and troubleshooting any production incidents.Responsibilities Implement, test, deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot core business applications, including UI & API integration, optionally API & DB Meet and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to establish project scope, system goals, and requirements Ensure code quality of development team by regularly performing code reviews to follow best practices Create build & deployment pipeline, monitor systems health, gather system statistics, and troubleshoot reported errors and alarms Implement best practices for scalability, reliability, maintainability, and performance Keep the code up to date by remediating any flaws reported by IT security team Be online and work along with Japan teams time:10am 6pm JST (or 11am - 7pm JST)Qualifications Bachelor's degree in computer science or information technology, or equivalent experience 5+ years of experience working with information technologies and software engineering Working knowledge of a wide variety of programming languages, ReactJS, and Java Spring Boot with Thymeleaf are a plus Deep understanding of HTML, CSS & JS Experience working with build automation and CI/CD tools Experience working in an Agile environment Strong analytical skill to break down new business problem into small pieces then draw technical solution, or analyzing existing source code Good communication skill and ability to see both side of a trade-off Ability to support/troubleshoot production incident English and optionally JapaneseGood to have skills Network, Load balancing, Nginx, SSO, SiteMinder Spring Boot, Thymeleaf, React, Bootstrap Oracle DB, SQL DB, Azure Cosmos DB (non-SQL), API Connect Azure CI/CD, Azure Kubernetes, Azure App Insight for logging, other Azure technologies
