Job Title: Software Engineer - Backend (AI Focus) Location: Hyderabad (No Remote) Experience: 2+ Years Company: YuppTV Employment Type: Full-Time Job Description: We are looking for a skilled Software Engineer - Backend with 2+ years of experience in Java, Scala, and Python to join our AI-driven engineering team . The ideal candidate will work on designing, developing, and optimizing backend systems that power AI-driven applications. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services using Java/Scala, and Python . Work closely with AI/ML teams to integrate AI-driven functionalities into backend systems. Develop scalable APIs, microservices, and data processing pipelines . Optimize system performance for low-latency, high-throughput applications . Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices. Work with SQL/NoSQL databases and caching mechanisms for optimal data retrieval. Implement security, authentication, and authorization best practices. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Frontend Developers, AI Engineers, and DevOps . Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize cloud-based backend services . Required Skills & Qualifications: 2+ years of backend development experience in Java, Scala, and Python . Strong understanding of OOP and functional programming paradigms . Experience with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, or gRPC . Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL . Proficiency in Git for version control . Familiarity with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar message queues . Exposure to AI/ML concepts and integrating AI models into backend systems (preferred). Knowledge of Elasticsearch (a plus). Experience with model training & fine-tuning (a plus). Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines . Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure (preferred). Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with distributed systems and big data processing . Knowledge of Apache Spark, Hadoop , or similar frameworks. Understanding of AI frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Faster-Whisper . Contributions to open-source projects or AI research work .
