Job Summary: Lynk is seeking a talented and passionate UI/UX Developer to join our Mission Operations Ground DevOps team in Chennai and play a key role in designing and developing highly usable web interfaces for our Mission Operations Software System. You will be responsible for both the user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design, with a strong emphasis on creating intuitive workflows and visually appealing designs utilizing Tailwind CSS. Experience with modern frontend frameworks, preferably Svelte 5 or a strong competence in React/Vue with a willingness to become a Svelte 5 expert, is highly desired. Core Responsibilities: Design and develop user-centered interfaces and intuitive user experiences for mission-critical applications. Translate user needs and business requirements into wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes. Implement responsive and visually consistent user interfaces using HTML, CSS via tailwindcss, and JavaScript. Collaborate closely with backend developers to ensure seamless integration of frontend components with APIs. Conduct user workflow interviews to help refine requirements, and user acceptance testing to gather feedback to iterate on and improve UI/UX designs. Ensure the accessibility and usability of the application across different browsers and devices. Maintain and contribute to UI component libraries and style guides. Regularly attend Agile team meetings (Scrums and Sprint Planning meetings) to provide updates on progress and challenges. Provide clear and concise status reports on assigned tasks and deliverables. Create detailed documentation for UI components and design specifications. What You’ll Work on in Your First 12 Months: As part of a collaborative software team, you will: Develop Key UI Widgets: Design and implement a variety of reusable UI widgets to support the growing needs of the Mission Operations System. Enhance User Workflows: Optimize existing user workflows and design new, intuitive flows for enhanced operational efficiency. Implement Responsive Designs: Ensure the application provides a consistent and optimal experience across various screen sizes and devices using Tailwind CSS. Contribute to UI Standards: Help establish and maintain UI component libraries and styling guidelines. Collaborate on Integration: Work closely with backend developers to integrate UI components with REST APIs. Qualifications: Proven experience in UI/UX development, with a strong portfolio showcasing web applications with excellent usability. Extensive experience with CSS and a deep understanding of Tailwind CSS. Strong proficiency in core frontend technologies such as JavaScript/TypeScript. Experience with at least one modern frontend framework (Svelte, React, Vue), with a strong preference for Svelte 5 or a demonstrable willingness to become an expert in it. Solid understanding of UX principles and best practices, including user research and usability testing. Ability to translate wireframes and mockups into functional and visually appealing interfaces. Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git). Ability to effectively communicate progress and issues in Agile team meetings and status reports. Experience creating clear and comprehensive UI documentation. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Svelte 5. Experience with UI testing frameworks. Familiarity with design tools (e.g., Figma).
