Job Description

Position Summary

The Front Office Executive is responsible for delivering exceptional guest service at the reception desk. This role handles guest check-in/check-out, manages reservations, responds to guest inquiries, coordinates with internal departments, and ensures a smooth and welcoming experience for all guests.

Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Check-in / Check-out

  • Greet guests warmly and complete the check-in/check-out procedures efficiently.
  • Verify guest details, room preferences, payment methods, and registration cards.
  • Issue room keys and provide orientation regarding hotel services and facilities.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of guest bills, payments, and folios.

Guest Service & Communication

  • Provide information on hotel amenities, dining, local attractions, and transportation.
  • Handle guest requests, questions, and concerns with courtesy and professionalism.
  • Coordinate with Housekeeping, Engineering, and F&B to ensure guest needs are fulfilled.
  • Manage special guests, VIPs, early arrivals, and late departures as per standards.

Front Desk Operations

  • Manage reservations, room allocation, and room readiness status.
  • Monitor guest profiles, preferences, and loyalty membership details.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and guest-ready front desk area.
  • Handle telephone calls, emails, and messages using proper etiquette.

Financial Responsibilities

  • Balance cash float at the beginning and end of each shift.
  • Process payments, deposits, refunds, and billing queries accurately.
  • Follow credit policies and maintain compliance with financial SOPs.

Reporting & Coordination

  • Document guest incidents, feedback, and operational updates.
  • Report maintenance issues and safety concerns promptly.
  • Support night audit operations when required.
  • Ensure adherence to hotel SOPs, grooming standards, and safety guidelines.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Diploma or degree in hospitality or related field (preferred).
  • 1–2 years of front office or guest service experience in hotels.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in PMS software (Opera, IDS, or similar) is an added advantage.
  • Good grooming, courteous behavior, and a guest-centric mindset.
  • Ability to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
