Role Overview Front End Engineer Job Description (2-5 Years Experience) We are seeking a talented and motivated Front End Engineer with 2-5 years of experience to join our dynamic team working on cutting-edge applications for the Life and Annuities market in the US. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in modern front-end technologies and a passion for creating exceptional user experiences. We prefer people with Insurance/Fintech/Product background Position Overview As a Front End Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining responsive web applications using our React and Next.js technology stack. You will collaborate with cross- functional teams to implement user interface components that align with our design specifications and business requirements. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on innovative solutions in the financial services sector. Responsibilities Design and develop responsive, performant, and accessible user interfaces using React and Next.js Implement Progressive Web Applications (PWA) following best practices for optimal performance Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented TypeScript code within our monorepo architecture Collaborate with UI/UX designers to translate wireframes and mockups into functional components Work with Material UI and other component libraries to create consistent user experiences Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and knowledge sharing Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in front-end development Collaborate with cross-functional teams including backend developers, designers, and product managers Contribute to continuous improvement of development practices and processes Necessary Skills (Front End) 2-5 years of professional experience in front-end development Strong proficiency in React.js and Next.js framework Expert knowledge of TypeScript and modern JavaScript (ES6+) Experience with PWA development and implementation Proficiency with Material UI or similar component libraries Experience with monorepo architecture, preferably using Turborepo Strong understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git and GitHub Experience with modern build tools and module bundlers Knowledge of web performance optimization techniques Understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG) Experience with automated testing frameworks for front-end applications Ability to write clean, maintainable code following best practices Desired Skills (Backend and AI) Experience with Docker containerization and Kubernetes Familiarity with microservices architecture and API integration Knowledge of PostgreSQL database design and querying Experience with Redis or Memcache for application caching Understanding of DAPR for service discovery, invocation, and workflow orchestration Familiarity with streaming technologies like Kafka Experience integrating with authentication systems like Microsoft Entra Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, particularly GitHub Actions Experience with API management tools like Kong Familiarity with AI tools and frameworks such as GitHub Copilot Experience integrating LLM capabilities (Claude, Gemini) into applications Understanding of agentic AI frameworks like N8N with Gemini 2.5 Experience with analytics integration (Google Analytics) Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience) 2-5 years of professional experience in front-end development Strong portfolio demonstrating experience with React and modern JavaScript frameworks Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment Passion for continuous learning and staying updated with industry trends Tools You'll Work With Development Environment: VS Code, Node.js, Docker Front-end Technologies: React, Next.js, TypeScript, Material UI Version Control: GitHub Project Management: Jira Design Tools: Figma Testing: Selenium, JMeter Documentation: Guru/Notion/Confluence CI/CD: GitHub Actions, Jenkins Why Join LifeBridge?
