Job Description

Role Overview

The Front Desk Receptionist is the first point of contact for guests and visitors. The role involves handling inquiries, managing check-ins and check-outs (for hotels), maintaining records, coordinating with internal departments, and ensuring a smooth, welcoming experience for all guests.

Key Responsibilities1. Guest/Visitor Handling

  • Greet guests/visitors warmly and provide excellent customer service.
  • Answer inquiries in person, via phone, email, or messages.
  • Guide guests to appropriate departments or individuals.

2. Front Desk Operations

  • Maintain the reception area for cleanliness and organization.
  • Handle incoming calls, messages, and appointments.
  • Manage visitor logs, staff attendance entries, and access control (if applicable).

3. Hotel-Specific Tasks (Optional – if in Hotel/Resort)

  • Manage guest check-ins and check-outs.
  • Handle room reservations and bookings.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping, F&B, and other departments regarding guest needs.
  • Process guest payments, billing, and provide receipts.

4. Administrative Support

  • Maintain records, reports, and required documentation.
  • Assist with filing, data entry, and basic office tasks.
  • Handle courier management, mail distribution, and supplies tracking.

5. Customer Service

  • Address guest queries, concerns, or complaints and ensure timely resolution.
  • Inform guests of services, facilities, and ongoing events.
  • Maintain a professional, friendly, and calm demeanor at all times.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 12th / Graduate in any stream.
  • 0–2 years of experience (Freshers welcome; hospitality/admin experience preferred).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and basic computer operations.
  • Pleasant personality and professional appearance.

For hotels: Knowledge of PMS software (Opera/IDS/eZee/Cloudbeds) is a plus.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
