Qualification : Minimum Qualification Graduation having Medical Experiences Key Responsibilities: 1. Patient Reception & Registration Greet patients and visitors courteously. Assist patients with the registration process. Record and verify patient details (personal info, insurance, ID). Assign tokens or appointment slots using hospital management software. 2. Appointment Scheduling Schedule, reschedule, or cancel appointments based on patient requests and doctor availability. Notify patients of appointment confirmations or changes via phone, SMS, or email. Coordinate with departments to manage appointment flow efficiently. 3. Communication & Coordination Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally. Provide accurate information regarding hospital services, departments, timings, and policies. Redirect calls to appropriate personnel or departments. Relay messages and updates from doctors or staff to patients or relatives. 4. Documentation & Record Management Maintain patient records, consent forms, and admission documentation. Handle confidential data with discretion, adhering to data protection standards. Ensure records are up to date and organized for quick retrieval. 5. Billing & Payments Guide patients to the billing counter or process payments at the front desk. Explain billing procedures, charges, and services covered under insurance. Issue receipts and assist with claim form submissions if required. 6. Visitor Management Manage entry of visitors, issue passes, and explain hospital visitor rules. Ensure the safety and privacy of patients by controlling unauthorized access. 7. Emergency Response Stay calm and coordinate quickly during medical emergencies. Notify doctors and emergency staff immediately when urgent care is needed at the front desk. Direct patients or relatives to the appropriate emergency services. 8. Facility Management Support Report any issues (maintenance, cleanliness, or technical) to relevant departments. Ensure the reception area remains tidy, organized, and welcoming. Additional Qualities Required: Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Good organizational and multitasking ability. Familiarity with hospital management systems or related software. Patience, empathy, and professionalism under pressure. Basic knowledge of medical terminology is an advantage.
