Job Description

Teach French to students in MYP (grades 6-10), IGCSE (grade 9), and DP (grades 11-12), ensuring alignment with respective curricula. Develop and implement engaging, student-centered lesson plans that encourage language acquisition, fluency, and cultural appreciation. Prepare students for internal and external assessments, including IB DP exams, IGCSE examinations, and MYP assessments. Guide students in IB Internal Assessments (IA) and Extended Essays (EE) in French. Foster an inquiry-based learning environment that integrates global perspectives and real-world applications. Use technology, multimedia resources, and interactive methods to enhance language learning. Provide individualised support to students with diverse linguistic backgrounds and abilities. Participate in faculty meetings, professional development sessions, school events, and boarding school responsibilities. Collaborate with colleagues to promote interdisciplinary learning and curriculum development. Stay updated with the latest developments in IB, IGCSE, and language pedagogy to enhance teaching strategies. Qualifications Skills Masterdegree in French Language, Literature, or a related field. IB-certified training (preferred) and prior experience teaching MYP, DP, and IGCSE French. Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience in an international school setting. Strong understanding of IB assessment criteria, command terms, and mark schemes. Ability to integrate technology and digital resources effectively into language instruction. Excellent communication skills and a passion for language education. Commitment to boarding school life, including participation in co-curricular activities and pastoral care.
