Role Description

OCI Observability & Management Consultant

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain

  Observability & Management solutions

  using OCI Monitoring, Logging, and Application Performance Monitoring (APM).
• Configure

  metrics, alarms, dashboards, and analytics

  to monitor infrastructure, applications, and databases.
• Integrate

  log collection, analytics, and telemetry

  with OCI APIs, SDKs, and third-party systems.
• Implement

  database monitoring

  (AWR, ADDM, OEM) and align with OCI Database Services.
• Automate

  patching, vulnerability remediation, and compliance workflows

  using OCI DevOps and scripting (Shell/Python).
• Manage

  cost governance and capacity planning

  , ensuring optimal resource utilization.
• Support

  security posture management

  with OCI Cloud Guard and related security controls.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement observability standards, improve incident detection, and enhance performance visibility.

Technical Environment

• Monitoring & Logging:

  OCI Monitoring, OCI Logging, Log Analytics, APM

• Database Tools:

  OEM, AWR, ADDM, OCI Database Services

• Automation:

  OCI DevOps, Shell scripting, Python, Terraform

• Security:

  Cloud Guard, Vulnerability Scanning, Patch Management

• Cost Governance:

  OCI Cost Analysis, Budgeting, and Optimization

• Integrations:

  OCI APIs, SDKs, OIC, REST/SOAP telemetry integrations

Required Qualifications

• 7–12 years of IT experience, with

  3+ years focused on OCI Observability and Management

  .
• Strong technical expertise in

  OCI Monitoring, Logging, APM, and Log Analytics

  .
• Hands-on experience with

  OCI Security, Vulnerability Scanning, and Patch Management

  .
• Proven ability to automate operational workflows and integrate observability with CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with client stakeholders.

Desirable Skills

• Experience with

  multi-cloud monitoring

  (OCI + AWS/Azure).
• Familiarity with

  compliance frameworks

  (CIS, NIST, ISO 27001) for cloud monitoring.
• Prior involvement in

  OCI migration or modernization projects
