Role Description We are seeking an experienced Oracle PL/SQL Consultant to help investigate and resolve a duplicate payment issue occurring for only one specific client . The issue involves a scheduled job running a PL/SQL package responsible for payment processing. While the job correctly handles duplicate detection for all other clients, this one client is experiencing unintended duplicate payments and repayment requests. This is a focused debugging and root cause analysis assignment. You will work with Oracle Scheduler jobs , PL/SQL stored procedures , functions , and cursors to isolate and fix the issue. Responsibilities Analyze the logic in the existing PL/SQL package related to duplicate payment detection Debug the scheduler job execution and stored procedures for client-specific behavior Review logic that assigns error codes and blocks repayment in duplicate cases Identify why the logic fails for one client while working correctly for others Propose and implement a fix or patch in the stored procedures or job configuration Provide documentation and recommendations to prevent similar issues in the future Required Skills Strong expertise in Oracle PL/SQL and Oracle Scheduler jobs Experience with debugging stored procedures , functions , and cursor-based logic Proven ability to trace data issues through complex procedural code Familiarity with payment processing workflows and duplicate record handling Ability to work independently and deliver a clear, root-cause analysis Nice to Have Experience with Oracle error-handling and logging frameworks Background in financial services or claims processing systems Skills in performance tuning of PL/SQL procedures Show more Show less
