Key Responsibilities

• Simulation Framework Development:

• Design and execute simulation models in

• Assess productivity, cost-efficiency, operational flexibility, and environmental impact.

• Data Acquisition & Integration:

• Gather technical, operational, and sustainability parameters from OEM specifications, peer-reviewed literature, and industry reports.

• Scenario Modelling:

• Develop multiple haulage scenarios reflecting real mine layouts, terrain conditions, and truck fleet configurations.

• Performance Analysis:

• Evaluate KPIs including cost per tonne, cycle time, fleet utilisation, GHG emissions, and downtime risk.

• Reporting & Documentation:

• Provide reproducible datasets, simulation code, and visual outputs.
• Prepare a detailed methodology and final report.

Mandatory Qualifications & Expertise

• Education:

  Master’s or PhD in Mining Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Autonomous Systems, or a related discipline.

• Domain Expertise:

  Proven track record in

  open-pit haulage modelling, automated truck operations, and fleet optimization

  .

• Simulation Skills:

  Proficiency in

  Whittle

  ,

  Haulsim

  , or equivalent mining simulation software.

• Analytical Skills:

  Strong knowledge of haul cycle modelling, fleet allocation, and environmental impact assessment.

Deliverables

1. Simulation framework with calibrated truck parameters for large, medium, and small fleets.
2. Comparative performance dataset covering all KPIs.
3. Risk and sensitivity analysis report.
4. Complete codebase, input datasets, and reproducibility documentation.
