Freelance Consultant - Manager – Central Tariff Management

Our client , An Indian Multinational Healthcare Group is looking to engage with a Consultant - Manager – Central Tariff Management.

Key Responsibilities:

 Be the central anchor for all tariff and master activities, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and speed.

 Bring structure: uniform templates, clean formats, clear naming conventions, and stable processes.

 Support readiness for the new application and upcoming tariff-automation tools.

 Ensure contract terms, tariff files, and system configuration stay aligned (no mismatch between “signed vs billed”).

 Maintain a clean, version-controlled repository of tariffs, contracts, and masters.

 Coach the team to work in a disciplined, predictable, and organised manner.

 Be proactive in spotting errors, gaps, and compliance issues before they escalate.

 Help build the centralised system that eliminates duplicate data and avoids unit-level variation.

Skills Required:

- Mandatory hands on experience in healthcare, including billing and pricing exposure.

- Good working knowledge of hospital tariffs, packages, contract terms, TPA pricing, inclusions/exclusions, and billing logic.

- Good analytical ability — can interpret trends, catch anomalies, and validate accuracy across contracts/tariffs/masters.

- Strong Excel and comfort with structured data; can design usable templates.

- Practical ability to streamline processes and simplify workflows (automation, Power Query, macros, basic Python, or adoption of digital tools).

- Ability to understand contract terms and ensure system configuration aligns with them.

- Familiarity with master data structures — service IDs, item masters, packages.

- Good judgment — knows when something is inconsistent, risky, or incorrect.

- Capable of implementing maker–checker discipline and maintaining governance.
