  • Develop shop drawings, assembly drawings, panel layouts, and material lists.
  • Optimize panel usage to reduce wastage and on-site adjustments.
  • Ensure designs comply with engineering standards, safety norms, and load-bearing requirements.

2. Technical Calculations

  • Calculate the formwork requirment for Plastic formwork system
  • Perform load calculations (lateral pressure, fresh concrete pressure, tie rod forces, prop loads).
  • Verify structural capacity of panels, supports, ties, and accessories.
  • Identify design risks and propose safer, more economical alternatives.

3. Coordination with Internal Teams

  • Work closely with the design head, project engineers, sales team, and production team.
  • Provide technical support during client discussions, presentations, and BOQ clarifications.
  • Assist in custom solutions for non-standard structures.

4. On-Site Support

  • Provide site guidance for assembly, installation, and troubleshooting.
  • Modify drawings based on actual site conditions.
  • Conduct site audits to ensure formwork is used correctly.

5. Documentation & Revision Control

  • Maintain clean version control for drawings.
  • Prepare BOM (Bill of Materials), cutting lists, and project documentation.

  • Strong command of AutoCAD and MS Excel (mandatory).
  • Experience with Revit/SolidWorks/3D modeling (preferred but not essential).
  • Good understanding of RCC construction, concrete behavior, shuttering methods, and site workflow.
  • Ability to read structural drawings (RCC plans, sections, reinforcement details).
  • Problem-solving mindset and willingness to challenge impractical requests from sales or site teams.
  • Precision, attention to detail, and zero tolerance for sloppy drafting.

Qualifications

  • Diploma/B.Tech in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
  • 1–5 years of experience in formwork/shuttering/falsework design.
  • Freshers with strong drafting skills and structural basics may also be trained—but only if they can learn fast.
