Role Summary

The FMCG Sales Manager will lead and scale sales operations for Veda Bharath across assigned territories. The role requires driving revenue, expanding distributor networks, ensuring retail visibility, and managing a performance-oriented sales team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets across General Trade, Modern Trade, and Institutional channels.
  • Appoint, manage, and grow distributors, dealers, and super-stockists.
  • Lead and mentor a sales team of field executives/DSRs with weekly reviews and market visits.
  • Grow retail footprint, drive product placement, and ensure 100% availability on shelves.
  • Plan and execute trade schemes, consumer promotions, sampling activities, and in-store activations.
  • Monitor primary & secondary sales; maintain beat plans and ensure efficient route coverage.
  • Track market trends, competitor pricing, promotions, and consumer insights.
  • Coordinate with marketing, production, and supply chain teams for smooth order fulfilment.
  • Prepare weekly/monthly reports, sales forecasts, dashboards, and MIS updates.
  • Establish strong relationships with retailers, supermarkets, organic stores, and modern retail chains.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
  • 4 - 6 years of proven FMCG sales experience (staples/organic/food segment ideal).
  • Strong experience in distributor onboarding and retail expansion.
  • Leadership skills with experience handling sales teams.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, CRM tools, and sales reporting.
  • Willingness to travel extensively.
