Job Description

Job Title: Floor Coordinator – Revenue Cycle Management (RCM)

The Floor Coordinator – RCM is responsible for supervising and coordinating day-to-day floor operations within the Revenue Cycle Management department. The role ensures that the team meets daily productivity, quality, and turnaround targets while maintaining compliance with organizational and client-specific RCM processes. The Floor Coordinator serves as the key point of contact between team members and management to ensure efficient workflow and timely resolution of operational issues.

Key Responsibilities:1. Floor Operations Management

  • Monitor daily workflow and ensure even task distribution among RCM associates.
  • Track team performance against KPIs such as productivity, accuracy, and turnaround time (TAT).
  • Address floor-level issues promptly to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
  • Coordinate shift schedules, attendance, and resource allocation to meet client deliverables.

2. Team Supervision and Support

  • Act as the first point of contact for RCM executives and analysts for process-related queries.
  • Provide on-the-job guidance, support, and feedback to ensure adherence to process standards.
  • Conduct regular huddles to communicate process updates, performance metrics, and targets.

3. Quality and Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to HIPAA and data privacy regulations during billing, coding, and claims processing.
  • Perform random quality checks and escalate deviations or errors to the Quality or Operations Manager.
  • Ensure team compliance with client-specific standard operating procedures (SOPs).

4. Reporting and Performance Tracking

  • Prepare daily/weekly floor performance reports (productivity, attendance, error trends, etc.).
  • Update management on floor performance, issues, and improvement initiatives.
  • Track and report missing productivity or downtime to maintain operational transparency.

5. Process Improvement

  • Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Support training and cross-skilling initiatives for team members.
  • Collaborate with QA, Training, and Operations teams to implement corrective actions.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (preferred: healthcare administration, business, or related field).
  • 2–4 years of experience in Revenue Cycle Management (medical billing, AR, payment posting, or coding).
  • Prior experience in a floor coordinator / team lead / senior associate role preferred.
  • Working knowledge of RCM tools, billing software, and MS Office (Excel proficiency required).
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end RCM processes (charge entry, billing, payment posting, denials, AR follow-up).
