Hey! I’m Shail - one of the co-founders @ Flent.I did six internships during college. Not because I wanted a fancy resume, but because I was curious about how startups actually work. None of those internships made me a “specialist” in anything. But together, they gave me something more valuable: a worldview of how businesses are built — how they start, grow, hire, and execute. (Also, I discovered that office parties are where you secretly learn the most about company building.)Most people think of internships as a way to learn one skill, work on one project, and add one line to their resume. We think that’s limiting.And that’s the spirit behind

. Think of it less like an internship and more like an apprenticeship — a way to actually live inside how a company runs. Startups don’t succeed because one person is great at one tool. They succeed because a bunch of ambitious, slightly restless people figure out how product, growth, ops, brand, and customer experience all click together.If you get into FlentX, you’ll be the ONLY intern in the ENTIRE function (we have seven core functions). You won’t be parked on side projects. You’ll be thrown straight into the team’s P0s, working in the same chaos and urgency as the rest of us.The goal isn’t to leave with one polished technical skill. What Makes FlentX Different?
- One intern, one function. We only take one intern per function at a time. That means you get focus, accountability, and a clear seat at the table.
- No side projects. You’ll be plugged into the team’s real priorities - the P0s that directly impact growth - not given parallel “intern tasks.”
- Breadth within your function. Instead of repeating one task, you’ll move across different problem statements, seeing how multiple levers within a function come together.
- Startup reality. The work isn’t predictable or neatly packaged. Priorities will change, problems will surprise you, and that’s exactly where the learning happens.
How It Works
- Join a Core Function FlentX runs across seven core teams — Demand Growth, Supply Growth, Tech & Platform, Marketing & Brand, Customer Experience, Product Operations, and Logistics & Warehouse. You can share your preference in the application form, but the final call on where you fit best will be ours. Each function takes only one intern at a time, so when you’re in, it’s your spot.
- Duration The program typically runs for 3–6 months. It’s long enough for you to contribute meaningfully, see projects through, and get a real sense of how the business works.
- Rolling Openings FlentX runs year-round. New spots open whenever a team has space, so keep an eye out.
- Application Process Start with a short form about your background and curiosity. If shortlisted, you’ll have a casual chat with the functional lead to understand how you think and solve problems. Sometimes we may throw in a mini-challenge to see you in action.
- Timeline We like to keep things fast. From application to decision, the process usually wraps in 10–14 days.
