Fitter – JD • Role Purpose: Perform fit-up, assembly, and fabrication of steel structures, equipment parts, frames, and piping components as per drawings and job specifications. Ensure accurate measurements, proper alignment, and safe work practices throughout the fabrication process. • Key Responsibilities: • Fit-up of structural members such as beams, channels, plates, frames, brackets, supports, and equipment base frames. • Marking, measuring, and layout work using tape, square, scriber, levels, and templates as per drawings. • Edge preparation, grinding, chamfering, and alignment for welding operations. • Assist welders with joint preparation, tack welding, and pre-weld positioning. • Fabrication and assembly of platforms, handrails, ladders, skids, ducts, tanks, and pipe supports. • Operate fabrication tools: AG4/AG7 grinders, gas cutting set, beveling tools, and drilling machines. • Read and interpret fabrication drawings, bill of materials, weld maps, and assembly diagrams. • Conduct dimensional checks, alignment verification, and ensure tolerances are met. • Assist in equipment erection, leveling, and alignment using jacks, chahain blocks, and lifting tools. • Ensure safe handling of materials, slings, and lifting accessories. • Follow LOTO, hot-work permits, lifting safety, and PPE usage. • Maintain housekeeping, tool care, scrap removal, and shop-floor cleanliness. • Skills & Competencies: Strong fit-up and fabrication skills, ability to read fabrication drawings, structural alignment knowledge, measuring and layout expertise, handling of hand tools, safety aware......

• Qualifications & Experience: ITI Fitter or equivalent trade; 2–8 years experience in fabrication / steel / structural manufacturing industries. • Role Levels: • Fitter: 2–4 years • Senior Fitter: 5–8 years (complex structures, equipment fit-up, piping fit-up) • Shift & Conditions: Rotational shifts, exposure to noise, heat, sparks, and heavy steel fabrication areas; mandatory PPE usage. • KPIs: Fit-up accuracy, rework %, productivity vs targets, welding readiness, adherence to drawings, safety compliance, housekeeping.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹42,000.00 per month
