Firmware and Embedded Systems Engineer

General Summary:

• SoC Interconnect for the next generation System-on-chip (SoC) for smartphones, notebooks, smart glasses, tablets and other product categories. This position includes but no limited to:
  • Software Development of CAD , describing the library of Network On Chip IP Components , Integration of IP's and export
  • Develop and deploy highly configurable custom-built interconnect hardware IPs, software tools, exploration and verification methodologies so that SoC integration teams can quickly assemble SoCs with desired Power Performance Area (PPA) characteristics
  • Deliver CAD tools that allow the NoC designer to describe interconnects as high-level abstraction features. The tools choose, configure and connect the appropriate units that are part of the library of HW IP developed in house
  • Develop and deliver export collaterals, for integration in Qualcomm IP delivery flow for SoC building including but not limited to "Verilog descriptions", "SystemC models", "excel sheets", "pre-configured verification environments" etc
  • Closely work with hardware designers and work on the tools that they use to create the latest SoC technologies
• Minimum Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of solid experience in SW development, embedded SW design and Object Oriented programming
  • Extensive Experience in Python and C++ OOPs
  • Fluent in software design best practices
  • Good knowledge in object-oriented programming
  • Good python skills
  • Experience in profiling and code optimization
  • Strong interest in hardware technologies. (block diagrams, RTL Verilog, VHDL, SystemC, Arduino or electronics)
  • Should possess effective communication and leadership skills
• Minimum requirement is Bachelor of Engineering however preferred is Masters of Engineering in Computer Science or Computer Engineering. PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field work experience is welcome

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience. ORMaster's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 3+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience. ORPhD in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.
