JD for Financial Data Analyst Job Title: Financial Data Analyst Job Summary: The Home Services Senior Analyst plays a key role in analyzing and optimizing home service operations. This position involves collaborating with various stakeholders to identify trends, improve processes, and enhance customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will leverage data analysis to support strategic decision-making and drive operational efficiency in home services. Key Responsibilities: Conducts routine and complex analyses to support strategic decision-making Data Collection Management o Gather, clean, and preprocess large datasets from multiple sources (Supabase, ServicePro, Citi bank PCard, etc.). o Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and integrity through validation techniques. o Develop and maintain data pipelines and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes. o Work with data engineers to optimize data storage and retrieval processes. Data Analysis Insights Generation o Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies across different appliance brands, models, and regions to optimize inventory and service offerings o Use statistical techniques, hypothesis testing, and A/B testing to validate business assumptions. Identify common failure patterns in appliances and assess the effectiveness of repair solutions. o Build dashboards and reports to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs). o Develop segmentation models to categorize customers, products, or service orders. o Perform root cause analysis to identify drivers of business performance. Provides value-driven analytics through behavioral analysis and predictive modeling: o Apply machine learning techniques (when relevant) to solve business problems like predict peak repair demand seasons and help optimize staffing and inventory planning o Perform time series analysis, clustering, causal inference and other statistical modeling techniques. Develops Home Services-wide process dashboards linked to critical customer characteristics: o Create interactive dashboards using tools like Tableau, Excel. o Develop automated reports to track business and operational metrics such as warranty claims, repair costs, and profit margins per service category o Present findings in a clear, concise manner. Performs detailed analytics on Home Services programs to ensure revenue and profit targets are met: o Perform end-to-end analytics to answer business questions. Eg. Cost benefit analysis of a Customer Order Prescreen Program, Identify if techs travelling less distances daily will have an impact on Profit Collaborates with stakeholders to generate hypotheses and determine additional data needs: o Act as a liaison between data engineering and business teams (Field team, Tech supervisors, Finance, Marketing team) o Work with product managers, field operations, marketing, sales and finance teams to align data analysis with business objectives. o Support data governance and compliance efforts. Coordinates large and complex initiatives to ensure timelines and goals are met: o Working on multiple large and long-term projects simultaneously across different business areas such as Field Operations, Finance, and Marketing. o Working with all the stakeholders to manage priorities and deliverables. Use Monday board to track progress and inform stakeholders. Focuses on root-cause solutions by extracting data points for in-depth analyses: o Building reports and analytics to understand the various factors that impact Business KPIs and impact day-to-day business operations. o Working closely with stakeholders to understand their pain points, questions e.g. Building a comprehensive Technician Score Card to help evaluate their performance, Building a tool to track Pending Service Orders and its impact to the business. Designs, executes, and analyzes tests to drive continuous improvements and effectiveness of assets: o Suggest and implement best practices for data analysis and reporting. o Improve efficiency by automating repetitive tasks and optimizing workflows. Integrates business efforts to create a seamless end-to-end customer experience o Ensuring all reporting and analytics with actionable insights are communicated to stakeholders. o Built a standardized Tableau reporting and PPT template to ensure the correct information is communicated in a structured and detailed fashion.
