Financial Controller

Role Overview: At Biocon Biologics, the Finance Function plays a crucial role as one of the major pillars of the organization. As part of the team, you will be responsible for book close and compliance activities, operations and accounting tasks, and contributing to special finance projects. Your expertise and attention to detail will ensure the smooth running of day-to-day accounting operations. Key Responsibilities: - Closing books of account on a monthly basis and preparing book closure schedules - Preparing financial statements including PL, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow - Conducting statutory and tax audit of standalone financials - Tracking actual cost versus budget for support functions - Ensuring compliance with Companies Act 2013 requirements like CSR, Related party, CARO - Collaborating with third-party accounting, tax service providers, and consultants on local regulatory/accounting/audit compliances - Demonstrating strong knowledge of IndAS/IFRS - Reviewing/preparing month-end accruals, intercompany reconciliation, balance sheet schedules, and income statement trend analysis - Providing financial reporting and analysis to various stakeholders to support decision-making - Participating in special finance projects with a focus on process automation - Working with onshore and offshore finance team reporting within Biocon Biologics group to monitor all transactions and ensure smooth accounting operations Qualifications Required: - Chartered Accountant qualification - Minimum 5 years of experience (post qualification) - Experience in preparation/audit of financial statements and disclosures - Preferably have a background with Big 4 - Hands-on experience with SAP will be an added advantage - Excellent analytical skills - Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint - Strong communication skills (written & oral) and networking abilities - Flexibility and an open mind to adapt to a dynamic business environment - Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize work effectively (Note: Additional details of the company were not provided in the job description),
