Financial Analyst

As a Financial Controller-Analyst at Barclays, you will be responsible for managing the financial operations of the organization, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and reliability of financial reporting. You will play a key role in preparing and presenting accurate and timely financial statements, and other accounting records in accordance with relevant accounting standards, rules, and regulations. Your duties will include supporting in identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial risks, as well as developing and maintaining a robust system of internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accurate financial data. Key Responsibilities: - Manage the preparation and presentation of financial statements and accounting records - Support in identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial risks - Develop and maintain a robust system of internal controls - Implement financial policies and procedures to ensure consistency and effectiveness - Select, implement, and maintain financial systems and software applications - Prepare and submit statutory and regulatory reports - Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory authorities Qualifications Required: - Qualified Accountant - Strong academic background with a minimum of a first-class honors bachelor's degree - Prior experience in a month-end or quarter-end reporting role - Strong excel skills - Understanding of key accounting principles under IFRS - Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communicator This role will be based out of Chennai. In this role, you will be expected to meet the needs of stakeholders and customers through specialist advice and support. You will perform prescribed activities in a timely manner and to a high standard, impacting both the role itself and surrounding roles.
