ApnaMart started with a vision to offer an unparalleled shopping experience to tier 2+ India. A very modern shopping experience where they can choose quality products from varied assortments, add them to a shopping basket, check out at the front counter, pay cash/digitally and also have the option to do the same thing online from the comfort of their homes through our mobile App! We are building a scalable, asset-light chain of neighborhood super marts. We focus on bringing competitive pricing, varied assortment, and consistent customer experience coupled with the trust and personal connection of a neighborhood kirana.

We’ve come a long way from our first store to 100+ stores and 8 lac+ monthly customers. It has been an overwhelming journey! And now, we are considering scaling up at an even more incredible pace. The target is 1000+ stores in the next year. Fingers crossed!

Key Responsibilities -

• Own end-to-end margin analysis including gross margin, contribution margin and unit economics; identify drivers of variance, track improvement levers and provide actionable insights to leadership.
• Analyse current and historical financial performance (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) to identify trends, deviations and business opportunities; generate insights that support strategic decisions.
• Develop, maintain and refine financial models to project revenue, cost, margin, cash flow and scenario outcomes; support investment decisions, capex evaluation and cost-optimisation initiatives.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual management reports including dashboards, MIS packs and business reviews; highlight key KPIs, risks, sensitivities and recommended actions.
• Lead and support the annual budgeting and rolling forecast process: partner with business units to gather assumptions, set targets, validate inputs, and track performance vs plan. Drive timely re-forecasting based on business dynamics.
• Provide financial decision support for initiatives such as pricing changes, new projects, category expansions, promotions, cost actions or operational improvements through ROI, NPV, IRR and break-even analysis.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders (operations, supply chain, category, marketing, sales, HR) to understand business drivers and ensure financial implications are incorporated into planning and decision-making.
• Monitor industry, competitive and macroeconomic indicators that affect revenue, cost structure, margins and working capital; integrate this intelligence into long-term and short-term forecasts.
• Drive process improvement and automation of reporting, data consolidation and analytics to enhance efficiency and accuracy of financial insights.
• Ensure adherence to financial policies, accounting standards and internal controls while preparing reports, forecasts and business analyses.

We hope you have..

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or related discipline.
• 2–5 years of experience in FP&A, business finance, financial planning, budgeting, forecasting or corporate finance.
• Strong proficiency in Excel, advanced financial modelling, and comfort with large data sets; experience with ERP/financial systems is an advantage.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability with strong numerical aptitude; ability to convert data into clear, actionable business insights.
• Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to influence and partner with non-finance teams and senior leadership.
