Role Overview

The Financial Advisor will be responsible for providing comprehensive financial guidance to clients, helping them achieve both short-term and long-term financial goals. This role requires strong relationship management, analytical skills, and expertise in financial planning, investment advisory, and risk management. The ideal candidate should possess strong communication skills and a client-first mindset, ensuring transparency, trust, and high-quality advisory service.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

Client Relationship Management

• Build and maintain long-term, trusting relationships with clients.
• Conduct periodic review meetings to understand client goals, risk tolerance, and life changes.
• Proactively communicate investment updates, portfolio performance, and market movements.

Financial Planning

• Analyze clients financial position including income, expenses, assets, and liabilities.
• Create customized financial plans addressing short-term and long-term objectives.
• Advise clients on budgeting, savings, cash flow management, and debt reduction strategies.

Investment Advisory

• Recommend suitable investment products such as stocks, bonds, real estate, and mutual funds based on client needs and risk appetite.
• Develop and manage diversified investment portfolios.
• Monitor market conditions and adjust or rebalance portfolios when required.

Retirement Planning

• Assist clients in planning for retirement to ensure stable future income.
• Provide guidance on retirement schemes including pension plans, EPF/PPF, 401(k) and IRAs (where applicable).
• Plan and recommend appropriate contribution strategies for retirement growth.

Tax and Risk Management

• Recommend tax-efficient investment strategies to optimize after-tax returns.
• Identify potential financial risks and advise on suitable insurance coverage (health, life, disability, long-term care, etc.).
• Collaborate with tax professionals and accountants to ensure proper execution of tax strategies.

Qualifications & Skills

Education & Experience

• Bachelors degree in finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
• Professional certifications like CFP, CFA, NISM, or similar (preferred).
• Proven experience in financial advisory, wealth management, or investment planning.

Technical & Professional Skills

• Strong knowledge of investment products, financial planning tools, and market regulations.
• Analytical thinking with ability to evaluate financial data and recommend strategies.
• Proficiency in investment software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Behavioral Skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Customer-centric approach with strong ethical standards.
• Ability to manage multiple client portfolios and work in a fast-paced environment.
