Job Description

The ideal candidate will possess a robust understanding of the Indian lending market, a strong local network, and extensive experience in financial managementwithin the banking and NBFC sectors. Key Responsibilities: 1. Strategic Leadership: Oversee all activities related to the management, operation, and development of the NBFC. Report directly to the Board of Directors, providing strategic financial guidance and leadership. 2. Advisory Role: Act as the principal advisor to the board on NBFC management, including strategy formation and consultant engagements. Provide insights on market segments identified by consultants and address queries from regulatory bodies such as the RBI. Develop and review risk policies, compliance reports, and other necessary planning aspects of the NBFC. 3. Communication and Reporting: Manage external communications, including responses to ad-hoc enquiries from the RBI and consulting firms. Prepare and publish quarterly and annual reports on investment management activities as required by the RBI. 4. Planning and Management: Develop an appropriate management structure within the NBFC and assist the board in formulating the company's mission and vision. Prepare a 5-year plan detailing the NBFC's portfolio, expected cash flows, and market trends. Implement strategic and annual plans, ensuring cost-effective operations and adherence to budgets. Recruit, motivate, and develop employees, defining and documenting primary responsibilities. 5. Operational Duties: Achieve targeted profitability and fee income, meeting periodic sales targets for assigned portfolios. Engage in client acquisition, retention, and growth plans for larger customers and expanded locations. Identify and source potential clients, including corporates, institutions, HNIs, and mutual funds through referral networks. Build a strong Direct Selling Agent (DSA) network and maintain close relationships to monitor client requirements. Ensure effective client servicing, resolve queries and complaints, and adhere to policy and documentation standards. Formulate periodic Management Information System (MIS) reports and develop risk policies to minimize Non-Performing Assets (NPAs). Qualifications: • Educational Background: Bachelors or Masters Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Professional Certifications such as CA (Chartered Accountant), CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst), are highly preferred. • Experience: Minimum of 05-07 years of experience in financial management, with a strong background in the Indian lending market. Proven ability to interpret market trends and a deep understanding of financial products for banks and NBFCs. Demonstrated excellence in communication, negotiation skills, and familiarity with RBI compliance requirements. Compensation: Remuneration will be competitive and commensurate with industry norms, reflecting the candidate's experience and qualifications
