About Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance Intern to join our dynamic Finance team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience across various critical finance functions, including accounting, reporting, compliance, and financial analysis. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, possess strong analytical skills, and be proficient in basic accounting principles.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting and Reporting

Assist with day-to-day accounting operations, including invoice processing, journal entries and payment tracking

Support the preparation of financial statements, including the Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss (P&L) Statement

Contribute to analytical reporting tasks to provide insights into business performance.

Support collection activities and bank reconciliations

Maintain accurate records in Tally and other accounting software

Assist in bank reconciliations and record maintenance

Learn and support the use of accounting software tools

Tax and Compliance

Assist with TDS (Tax Deducted at Source) deductions and compliance

Support GST compliance activities

Ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines and internal policies

Financial Operations & Analysis

Assist in project-related financial tasks, including tracking project profitability.

Support fund flow management and bank-related transactions.

Contribute to the implementation and optimization of financial processes.

Work with Excel for data analysis and reporting, including pivot tables and lookup functions.

General Support

Assist in identifying and documenting ideal financial parameters and processes.

Support internal and external audits.

Prepare and manage financial documentation.

Maintain comprehensive chart of accounts.

Requirements:

Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field

Basic understanding of accounting fundamentals, including Balance Sheet and P&L Statement

Familiarity with TDS and GST fundamentals

Proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, lookup functions)

Exposure to Tally, Zoho, or any other accounting/payroll software is a plus

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Prior internship experience in finance/accounting will be an added advantage
