Job Description

Experience Required:

Key Responsibilities

1. Accounting & Financial Operations

  • Manage day-to-day accounting activities including data entry, general ledger posting, and invoice processing.
  • Ensure accurate bookkeeping in line with accounting standards and company policies.
  • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable with timely vendor and customer reconciliations.

2. Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Assist in preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow).
  • Support management with financial analysis, variance reports, and MIS dashboards.
  • Monitor cost trends related to raw materials, production, and logistics.

3. Manufacturing-Specific Financial Management

  • Validate production costs, scrap analysis, yield calculations, and consumption reports.
  • Coordinate with production, stores, and procurement to verify GRN, consumption data, and costing sheets.
  • Support product costing, BOM costing, and margin analysis.

4. Taxation & Statutory Compliance

  • Prepare and file GST, TDS, and other statutory returns on time.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations related to excise, customs, e-invoicing, and other applicable laws.
  • Maintain proper documentation and support statutory audits.

5. Reconciliation & Closing Activities

  • Reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts, intercompany transactions, and inventory-related accounts.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing, provisioning, adjustments, and accrual entries.

6. Budgeting, Forecasting & Cost Control

  • Assist in annual budgeting and periodic forecasting.
  • Track budget vs actual performance and highlight deviations.
  • Support cost optimization initiatives across plants and operations.

7. Audit & Documentation

  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors; provide data and explanations as needed.
  • Maintain financial records, vouchers, agreements, and compliance documents systematically.

8. Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Work closely with production, procurement, logistics, and store departments to ensure financial accuracy and transparency.
  • Assist management in decision-making through accurate financial insights.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of

    manufacturing finance

    , cost accounting, and production-related financials.
  • Hands-on experience in

    GST, TDS, and statutory filings

    .
  • Proficiency in

    ERP systems

    (SAP / Tally / Oracle / any manufacturing ERP).
  • Good understanding of

    inventory management

    ,

    raw material costing

    scrap accounting

  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Good communication and coordination skills for working with cross-functional teams.

Qualification

  • B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance)
  • Additional certifications in taxation or cost accounting will be an advantage.
