Finance Business Partner

As a Finance Business Partner with a growth mindset, you will play a crucial role in improving the business by taking initiative, delivering results, and effectively collaborating with a talented team. You will be responsible for developing key senior stakeholder relationships, providing insightful and timely reporting, and advocating for change. **Key Responsibilities:** - Prepare the Group annual report and financial statements under IFRS and the UK statutory accounts. - Report on Group balance sheet performance, coordinate detailed analysis and review. - Assist in Group and UK audit at year-end, working closely with auditors and internal team members. - Participate in month-end processes and Group consolidation independently. - Manage and coordinate the monthly Group closing calendar for the Synamedia Group of companies. - Perform IFRS 16 calculations, monthly journals, and update policies. - Assist in updating Transfer Pricing Policies. - Lead various Group Finance projects and workstreams to transform accounting and internal control processes. - Collaborate with the Group Financial Controller, CFO, senior stakeholders, diverse accounting teams, Centre of Excellence, and other business stakeholders. - Manage and deliver on multiple key projects with extensive collaboration. - Own internal controls and policies for the Synamedia Group to ensure compliance with GAAP and other statutory requirements. - Maintain appropriate internal control environments and update controls documentation as needed. **Qualifications Required:** - Qualified Chartered Accountant / ACCA with post-qualification experience of 5+ years in the industry, preferably in Software, Telecoms, Media, and Technology companies. - Good exposure to and knowledge of both IFRS and US GAAP, with experience in managing accounting for entities in different countries. - Ability to work with and manage stakeholders outside of India and within India. - Comfortable working in a hybrid model at the Chennai COE, with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home. This role requires someone with the gravitas to be a Finance leader in our COE in Chennai.
