Overview

We are actively seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance and Accounts Intern to join the team at Bharat Gram Udyog Sangh. This critical role supports our commitment to transparent and efficient financial practices as we expand our presence in the Ayurvedic and wellness market, including on platforms like ONDC.

This internship is ideal for a candidate with a strong foundational knowledge of accounting and a minimum of six months of practical experience gained while working under a Chartered Accountant (CA). The successful candidate will be key in ensuring robust financial compliance relevant to a manufacturing and trading entity.

Key Responsibilities:

Compliance & Taxation:

• Assist in the accurate and timely preparation and filing of various tax returns, including TDS (Tax Deducted at Source) and GST (Goods and Services Tax) returns.
• Perform all GSTR-2A/2B reconciliations with purchase data, ensuring meticulous compliance.
• Manage the documentation and generation of E-Way Bills for the movement of manufactured and traded goods.
• Maintain comprehensive, audit-ready documentation for all statutory filings (Income Tax, GST, etc.).

Accounting & Operations:

• Support daily accounting operations by accurately entering sales, purchases (especially raw materials), bank transactions, and journal vouchers into the accounting system.
• Perform Bank Reconciliations and assist with basic cash flow monitoring.
• Assist with Inventory Tracking and initial cost-of-goods-sold (COGS) calculations relevant to our manufacturing and trading setup.
• Reconcile sales and payment data from various online platforms, including the ONDC network and other e-commerce channels.
• Compile necessary financial documents and schedules to support internal and external audits.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce (B.Com/M.Com), or a related field.
• Mandatory Experience: A minimum of six (6) months of demonstrable work experience gained while working in a Chartered Accountancy (CA) firm.
• Technical Knowledge:
• Proficiency in TDS and GST procedures and filing is essential.
• Solid grasp of basic accounting principles.
• Software Skills:
• Working knowledge and proficiency in Tally Prime (required).
• Intermediate to Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.).
• Key Attributes: Exceptional attention to detail, a high degree of accuracy, and strong commitment to ethical practices and regulatory compliance.
